An extension of the strain transfer principle for fiber reinforced materials

چکیده

Abstract Fiber optical strain sensors are used to measure the at a particular sensor position inside fiber. In order deduce in surrounding matrix material, one can employ transfer principle. Its application is based on assumption that presence of fiber does not impede deformation material direction. fact, principle implies direction carries over verbatim material. For comparatively soft however, this underlying may be valid. To overcome drawback, we propose superimpose with one-dimensional model fiber, which takes into account its elastic properties. The finite element solution yields more accurate prediction low computational costs.
